Chair Caning is the fine art of hand-weaving a new chair seat
or back, using strands of cane to create a traditional pattern.
Cane is the outer bark of the Rattan palm that is cut into thin
strips to be used in cane seating. The cane has a shiny surface,
is extremly long, and creates a beautiful chair that will endure
for decades. There are two types of chair cane: hand cane and
machine cane.
